Get your seeds at the Claverack Free Library!

Check it out: The Library of Local Seed Library is officially open at the Claverack Free Library. To be clear, though, these seeds aren’t to be “checked out” and then returned. They are free for the taking. What is asked is that when the resulting plant goes to seed at the end of the season you collect some and add them back into the Seed Library, ensuring the seeds are there for the next gardener.

Can’t wait to get started? There are cold weather seeds that are ready to start in the ground or in a cold frame like radishes and kale. You can also select warm weather seeds to start indoors and then set out after the danger of frost (May 12).

Interested in growing all year round? There are also microgreen seeds available for growing indoors anytime.

Thanks to Katy Flammia and Toba Duggan for their impressive organizational skills.

Thanks to Agway for numerous seed donations!
